blog confusion

so i started this off with the intent on writing about coffee and clothes but as of right now, i dont know how to stick to two things. so for the time being, i'm going to write down all my thoughts, because as uninteresting as it might be, there might be some unique times in my life i don't want to forget.

BEACH TODAY! This is the second time with my brand new license (color copy came in the mail 3 days ago) and I am so excited! I love the water against my skin and the sand on my feet. I love that awful fishy smell mixing with the boardwalk fries. The beach is where I want to stay for the rest of summer. It is just gorgeous. It only truly feels like summer down the beach. So now I'm off to pick up my friend, put the top back and drive the hour and a half.

the invisible pairs of clogs

I find it funny that clogs were all over the runways this spring, yet there aren't many knock-offs created, if any clogs at all to be found. There's a few here or there priced for Paris Hilton's wallet, but there seems to be more open toed mules out there. Although I would prefer a pair of clogs that wouldn't cost me a month of insurance, I am going to settle for these MIA shoes. They make me even taller than I am now, but they are gorgeous in the black and tan. I'll end up getting the black because that's the only color I know how to wear well. I love the wedge though. It's perfect!

bathing suit season

It's always so hard! One cuts too high on the hip or too tiny to cover anything. I love the cut-out pieces but it is so hard to find one correctly proportioned for an actual person. Hopefully I'll have some luck when I look around this week.
As of right now, I'm still completely infatuated with Burlap and Bean coffee. Organic and local. It's the perfect combination. And just enough to wake me up for work in the morning, after nights of final studying. One more day to go and summer finally begins.

fedora

So on Tuesday, I'm taking the test to get my license. I already have my car which is a convertible SUV (could it get any better!) but I'm still missing one thing. MY HAT! I've fallen in love with the fedora hat but I haven't had the time to order one. They are the cutest structured hat and I'm sure they'll be everywhere on the streets this summer. I think I'll be making a dash to Urban Outfitters next week to find one.

(final)ly it's summer

In the midst of tuning back in to the class and work, I haven't had time to sleep. I love running on coffee for days straight. It's such an adrenaline rush, except maybe I should sleep before I blog again. My Summer and license is only a week away. I can almost taste the salt water and sun-kissed tans.

vintage.

I found the best clothes while shopping today. I've wanted a pair of relaxed trousers in pattern and found the perfect pair .. DKNY from 80 down to 20. I couldn't love vintage boutiques more. And to make my day better, the dress I ordered from Nasty Gal came in and is GORGEOUS! I have been searching for the dress for months since I couldn't find the dress on the website but it was back and I knew i had to get it. It was one of those investment pieces I needed to live. That could be a bit more dramatic if I gave more effort.

Lisa Mitchell

After browsing around blogs, I stumbled upon this artist and she is amazing. But I'm always last to find these golden artists, I probably should look for some of her newer music. But her style is fantastic. It's perfectly vintage. I should add her name to the list of wardrobes I plan on stealing one day.

irregular choice

Today I was doing my usual hours long online browsing when i found shoes by irregular choice on nastygal. They were only selling the Oz shoe so I went on google to find the real online store and guess what I found? The most original shoes I have seen in forever. I linked some of my favorites that will be stealing my paychecks soon enough. Soho Sunshine is adorable with the little butterflies surrounding the foot. The prices aren't completely outrageous either which is perfect!

alpha

so sometimes I actually decide to spend time on school work and it's always on the assignment the teacher decides to do nothing with. then I get mad because I spent so much time working on this one paper and I have nothing to do with it. So that happened this month but I'm going to post it because at least now I won't loose the paper.

Alpha:
I live in the center of the city at the top of the Ford. I have a gorgeous rock fireplace. My penthouse has many glass walls which allow me to look at the streets below. My penthouse has many glass walls which allow me to look at the streets below. The other walls are white with black lines running through them. My black couches pop because of the silver pillows. My coffee table is completely made of glass. I have gold vases and accessories scattered around the room on tables and selves. I have books of photographs arranged on my coffee table. My favorite photo of a recent party with soma is hung above my fireplace. A large entryway leads to the kitchen and a hallway of rooms.
My kitchen is a chef's dream. My appliances are stainless steel and have remote sensors to cooks the food. My floor is checkerboard black and white. My cabinets are glass, showcasing red and pink dinnerware.  The dinnerware has gold surrounding the rim, with gold patterns outlining on the plate. Wine glasses and shot glasses are arranged in the far left cabinet, as they are used often. My pots are made of copper and have heat-resistant handles. I have accessories of golden elephants and cookware placed on the spacious island and in the various corners of the room. There are two glass doors that open to my garden and patio.
The patio is made of old bricks. I have cast iron chairs surrounding a cast iron, woven table. Steps lead down to a garden at various flowers. The pink roses are luscious and dominate the garden. There are carnations and lilies, along with lilacs and baby breath. Lights are strung along my iron railing to highlight my flowers on a dark city night. The table is perfect to drink my coffee, before I work, to watch the marvelous sunrise.
When I woke in the morning from my salmon-colored, feather filled comforter, I walk into a large bathroom and heat up the steam shower. I grab some towels from the antique, wooden cabinet and hop into the shower. After I leave the shower, I walk into my closet and play with the remote rock until I have found the perfect grey clothing combination. I would never buy clothing in green khaki, or those other hideous colors. I walk into the kitchen after dressing and take my coffee cup, from the remote coffee maker, out to the patio.
I finish my coffee as the sunrises, and I then am reminded to head to work by my friendly robot voice through my loudspeaker. I head out the front door and enter my combination to lock my door so I can make sure none of the grimy Deltas try to touch my things. I am taken down to the lobby by the lift and walk across the street to my job. I take my lab coat from my rack and the doors open, as the loud speaker welcomes me in. I take my seat as I watch over the workers making the ovaries disease proof. If any of those idiots make a mistake, I have the authority to yell at and fire the worker. If workers are trained and created for one purpose, I don't understand why they should mess up. Around noon my shift is replaced by a fellow Alpha and I leave work to enjoy lunch with coworkers and friends of mine.
At lunch we are seated first because the waiting line is made of deltas and gammas, people who do not need attention. Our food is out quickly as my friends and I laugh at the clumsy gamma waiter. After lunch, we leave for a game of miniature golf and meet up with the guys. Philipe is throwing a party that evening and says the amount of soma will be infinite. I never reject invites to parties because that wouldn't be normal. After the marvelous game of golf, I set off to find the perfect grey outfit.
I walked along the Alpha Strip Mall in search of something breezy and bohemian, I walked into the boutique Haute Hippie. The grey colors were marvelous shades. I opted for a long, strapless maxi dress with random cutouts along the hem. I bought a simple hair chain and gold rings to go along with the dress. I left the store in search of something to bring to Philipe's when I ran into Tally. She had just returned from Jeffery's home and was looking for someone to talk with. I invited her to join me fore the rest of the evening but she could only stay for a bit since she would be off to meet John soon.
As she told me of her lunch with Jeffery, we stumbled upon the perfect boutique filled with little gifts. Tally helped me pick the perfect quantity of soma along with cute gold vases. After being rung up, I parted with Tally and returned to my apartment. I pinged myself in the front door and fell asleep on the sofa in my living rooms. My house awoke me around 6, reminding me to get ready. After showering, I sat in front of my vanity with my make-up and marvelous toiletries set out. I put on enough to highlight my lovely eyes and strong cheekbones. I glided into the living room to get the bags from earlier that day and went back to my closet. I dressed and chose to wear an elephant ring along with my new outfit. I quickly placed a grey ribbon along the necks of the vases and threw the soma into a grey gift bag. I felt for my phone and walked up a flight of stairs to my helicopter landing.
Philipe picked my up and we flew back to his home. Plenty of couples had shown up to enjoy the party and cameras flashed everywhere. I posed for many before walking to the bar to binge on soma and cosmopolitans. Finally, I found Philipe again and sat between him and Antonio. Antonio was well-known and a wonderful acquaintance of mine. I listened in on their conversation of the new Feelies. Joining in on the conversation from time to time, I observed the party beginning to elevate in noise and people seemed much happier than normal. I believe the soma was beginning to kick in.
After a few hours, people began to leave and the party vibe disappeared. I walked around to trash the empty glasses. Following Philipe inside, I arranged the gifts for him and he thanked me. We walked into his dark living room and flipped through the Alpha channels on his flat screen. Nothing interesting was on so I convinced Philipe to fly me back to my apartment. We were in the air within minutes. Philipe had a habit of flying too quickly, so the buildings flew by, not providing me a moment to enjoy the scenery. We arrived at the helicopter landing in no time and glided down the stairs into my kitchen. My penthouse greeted us as Philipe said the word coffee. Two fresh cups appeared in moments. Philipe grabbed both as I opened the door. We walked to the iron table and looked out over the skyline. I couldn't help but think how lovely my marvelous life is.

I tried this at work the other day and it was amazing. I'm addicted. Blends more expensive than your generic grocery store coffee, but it tastes so much better.
